Last month the MFC Board of Directors approved funding to contract a market study. Our Strategic Planning Working Group selected Dakota Worldwide to conduct the market study; we’ll be working with Marcia Pfeifer. In celebration of National Co-op Month, local volunteers have launched a campaign to support the Montavilla Food Co-op: treat yourself to ownership! They are reaching out to residents and visitors to the Montavilla neighborhood of east Portland to recruit 20 new member-owners by October 31. Every new member that joins during the month of October will receive a trio of organic chocolate bars from Equal Exchange.
